Ashanti Golds SC has been paired against Burkina Faso outfit Salitas FC in the preliminary round of the 2020/2021 edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Obuasi-based club represented Ghana in the CAF inter-club competition last season but unfortunately could not progress to the Group Stages of the competition.

In a 2019/2021 football season where the Ghanaian calendar could not be completed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Ghana FA has selected Ashanti Gold SC to return to Africa.

At the end of the official draw for the preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup today, the Miners club have been drawn against Salitas FC.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have been also paired against Mauritania side FC Nouadhibou in the preliminary stages of the CAF Champions League.

The two Ghana top-flight clubs will hope to enjoy better campaigns this season.
