CAF Confederations Cup: Dreams FC to play Stade Malien in quarter-finals

Ghana Premier League outfit Dreams FC will play Malian giants Stade Malien de Bamako in the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Still Believe defied all odds to reach the group stages and subsequently progressing to the quarterfinals in their maiden Africa campaign.

The Ghana FA Cup Champions emerged as group winners with 12 points out of 18 at the end of the group games.

Today, the draw for the quarterfinals was held at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, where Dreams FC were paired against their West African neighbours.

Having top their group, the Ghanaian club will travel to Mali for the first leg of the quarterfinals before hosting the second leg in Ghana.

The first leg of the tie is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the Stade Mars 26 in Bamako.

The second leg will come off at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi when Dreams play as hosts on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Stade Malien are past winners of the competition having won the competition in 2009.
