CAF Confederations Cup: Gabonese top referee Tungay Patrice Mebiame to handle Stade Malien-Dreams FC clash

Stade Malien’s CAF Confederations Cup quarterfinals first leg encounter against Dreams FC will be officiated by Gabonese top referee Tungay Patrice Mebiame.

The Malian giants will play host to the Ghana Premier League outfit on Sunday before the return leg in Kumasi.

Tungay Patrice Mebiame will be assisted by compatriot Marlaise Ditsoga and Abelmiro Dos Reis Monte Negro from Sao Tome and Principe as assistant 1 and II respectively.

Meanwhile, Kalilou Traore from Cote D’Ivoire has been named as the Fourth Official for the crucial game.

Rene Williams Sere from Cote D’Ivoire will serve as the Match Commissioner, while Ali Mulumba Tomusange from Uganda will take on the role of Referee Assessor, with Mohamed Jiddou from Mauritania acting as the General Coordinator for the game.

Other officials include Ingrid Gahimbare from Burundi as the Security Officer, Pierre Ghislain Atcho from Gabon as the Video Assistant Referee, and Akhona Zennith Makalima from South Africa as the Assistant Video Assistant Referee.

The match is scheduled to take place at Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako at 17:00 on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Dreams FC have already left Ghana on Friday morning and are expected to arrive later in the day before going through the necessary routine for Sunday's clash.

The Ghana FA Cup holders travelled with 23 players, four management team members and nine technical staff led by Coach Karim Zito.

Dreams FC remarkable performance in their maiden Africa campaign has earned them a place among the continent’s elite clubs.
