Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has set his sights on clinching the CAF Confederations Cup title after securing a historic semifinal berth.

The Ghanaian FA Cup champions came from behind to draw with Stade Malien in Kumasi on Sunday following a 2-1 win in Bamako to seal qualification to the last four of the competition.

The 2009 Confederations Cup winners opened the scoring at the Baba Yara Stadium before Sylvester Simba leveled pegging to snatch a draw on home turf.

Speaking after the game, Zito expressed desire to clinch the title having defied all odds to reach the semifinals of the competition.

"We will not let the qualification put us down, we are going to prepare," Zito affirmed in the wake of the win. "I think people will take us seriously now, but we are going for the ultimate."

Dreams become the first Ghanaian side to reach the semis of the CAF Confederation Cup, since Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko did so back in 2005, in the maiden edition of the competition.

The FA Cup holders will lock horns with Egyptian giants Zamalek in the semifinals of the Confederations Cup.

The Still Believe lads will travel to Egypt to face Zamalek in the first leg tie on April 21, 2024 before the return leg in Kumasi on April 28, 2024.
