CAF Confederations Cup: We don't have money to participate in Africa – Dreams FC Vice President declares

Vice President of Dreams Football Club, Prince Abdul Hamid has admitted that financially the club is not sound to participate in Africa.

The Dawu-based club managed to finish the 2022/23 Ghanaian football season on a high by winning one of the two available domestic trophies.

In the MTN FA Cup final, Dreams FC defeated King Faisal 2-0 in a game played at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex to be crowned Champions.

Courtesy of the Cup win, the Ghana Premier League side is to represent Ghana in the next edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Speaking to Asempa FM in an interview, Dreams FC Vice President Prince Abdul Hamid said the team is ready to represent the country.

However, he noted that the club does not have the money to finance the campaign.

"We don't have money to participate but we are ready,” Prince Abdul Hamid said.

While Dreams FC are to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup, Medeama SC will also represent the country in the CAF Champions League.
