CAF Women's Champions League: AS Mande coach Maiga eyes win over Hasaacas Ladies

Published on: 08 November 2021

AS Mande coach, Abdramane Maiga has set sights on beating Hasaacas Ladies on matchday of the ongoing CAF Women's Champions League on Monday.

The Malian side suffered a 3-1 loss to hosts Wadi Degla in the opening game.

Mande will have to move forward from that shock and secure a win against Hasaacas in case they need to revive their qualification hopes.

It’s a tough mission against a side that proved toughness in their opening win as well.

"Losing the first match in group stage can be recovered but losing any matches can be very hurtful. So, we plan to focus on the next games," coach Abdramane Maiga told cafonline.com.

"Comparing to the previous match, next match will be even harder. The difference in the physical capabilities will make it more challenging.

"Hasaacas Ladies are very strong and fast. We play almost the same way which will make it a difficult game. Studying the other team always helps you determine your points of strengths against the other teams."

Hasaacas Ladies need one more win to reach the semifinals and continue their fairytale dream of being the first-ever African women’s club champions after securing a 3-1 over Equatorial Guinea’s Malabo Kings on Friday in their opening game.
