The right back joined the Dormaa based side from West Africa Football Academy on a three year deal that will see him stay at the club until 2020.

The 20 year old was a standout performer for WAFA last season, helping the club finish second, their best ever performance in the topflight.

However, the versatile player revealed he was motivated to join Aduana because he wanted a change in environment.

“I signed three years contract with Aduana stars, I chose Aduana Stars because in life you don’t have to stay at one place, you have to go somewhere and work to see how the condition is, I wanted to change my environment, that is what motivated me” he told Ash FM Sports.

“I trained with the team yesterday. I will train again this morning, everything is going well. I don’t feel any pressure. I want to do my best and help the club to achieve their target.”

Meanwhile, Aduana Stars are beefing up their squad ahead of the CAF Champions League next season.

Amankwa becomes the club third signing, joining Hafiz Adams and Uba Ikama from Congo.

The "Ogya Boys" will begin their CAF Champions League campaign against Al Tahaddy of Libya next February but will have to participate in the GHALCA G8 first.
