Defender Caleb Amankwah is set to join a Ukrainian club after parting ways with Hearts of Oak according to multiple reports.

The former Aduana Stars has left the Accra-based side following the expiration of his contract in May and decided not to sign a new deal.

Following his exit, Amankwah is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Ukrainian club.

Amankwah has been an important figure since his arrival and was very instrumental for the Phobians in the just-ended league season despite the team’s abysmal performance.

In the concluded 2022/23 season, he played over 20 matches and scored four goals as a defender.

The lanky defender joined Hearts of Oak on a free transfer in the second half of the 2020/21 season after leaving Aduana Stars and won the Ghana Premier League, FA Cup on two occasions and the President’s Cup with the Phobian Club.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have announced the acquisition of Eleven Wonders skipper and defender Kelvin Osei Asibey.
