The Black Queens of Ghana held a first training session in Accra to begin preparations for the tie against the Copper Queens of Zambia.

The Ghana women’s senior national team opened camp in Accra on Sunday.

For the tie against Zambia, Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle will be going into the games with 23 players.

However, only 18 players are in camp.

Without the five players yet to report to camp, Coach Nora Hauptle supervised the first training session of her Queens on Monday evening.

“The Black Queens trained at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon as preparations for the third round Olympic Games qualifying match against the Copper Queens of Zambia got underway.

“Eighteen(18) out of the 23 invited players have arrived in camp with the other five expected to arrive in Accra Monday for the team's second training session on Tuesday,” an update from the Ghana FA said on Monday.

The first leg of the tie between the Black Queens of Ghana and the Copper Queens of Zambia is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, February 23.

The game will kick off at 5 pm.
