Stoke City chief Mark Cartwright has assured fans they're working on the market.
Cartwright insists they're close to more additions.
"We've been very busy," said technical director Cartwright to The Sentinel.
"I know everybody is frustrated but that just seems to be market place at the moment. There have been a lot of big deals going through and Everton obviously have been splashing the cash – but in terms of where we are at in the market, we're not at £50m, there are not a lot of £15m players being transferred.
"The marketplace is very slow but we obviously have our specific targets which we are pushing forward on and hopefully Tony (Scholes) and Mark (Hughes) will be able to give everyone better news in the next week or so."
