Carvalhal reveals transfer talks with Swansea chairman Jenkins

Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal has revealed that he will hold talks with Hew Jenkins over possible signings in January.

With Swansea currently occupying bottom place in the Premier League table, they will need to strengthen the squad in order to be able to avoid relegation and Carvalhal has stated that he will hold talks with Jenkins to disucss potential January transfers.

"I don't know about signings. We don't have petrol in the city," said Carvalhal.

"But I will talk with the chairman. These first few days I have prepared for games against Watford and Tottenham and, we have a lot of work to do, after this let's see if we can find some petrol to bring some players.

"At this moment I don't know. Hopefully I have some answers by the next game or the next time I speak to you. All the time we can improve the team. I am happy with the team. The players here were all the ones available, so the squad is not too big in quantity, so it makes sense to think about signings."
