Petr Cech insists Arsenal must win the north London derby on Saturday in order to keep up with their rivals.
The Gunners are in sixth at the moment, four points off their neighbours.
And Cech says Arsenal must avoid a loss to stop the gap from stretching even further.
"It's always a special game, the north London derby," he said. "With the atmosphere and the electricity in the crowd, obviously you look forward to this game and you need to make sure you win a game like this, not only because it's a north London derby, but because it's a rival that challenges us for a top-four spot. You need to make sure in these types of games that you get all three points.
"You are always aware of that [they are rivals] and as I said, going into Saturday's game you can feel how much it means to everybody at Arsenal and with the fans the rivalry has always been there."
