Good evening and welcome to the live text coverage of the clash between Ghana and Sudan tonight.

The Championship of African Nations (CHAN) is continuing in Algeria today with action in Group C.

The home-based national team of Ghana will come up against their counterpart from Sudan today in a second Group C match of the CHAN tournament.

Ahead of the crucial meeting that will kick off at 7pm, Coach Annor Walker has selected Danlad Ibrahim as his goalkeeper for the game. Augustine Agyapong comes in to replace Augustine Randolph in right-back.

Solomon Adomako, Dennis Korsah, and Konadu Yiadom are the other players completing the defensive setup.

In the midfield, Sylvester Simba, David Abagna Sandam, and Dominic Nsobila are the men selected to get the job done for Ghana.

Meanwhile, the attacking trio is made up of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Jonah Attuquaye, and Kofi Kordzi.

In the absence of Gladson Awako, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been named captain.

Second half:

46' The second half of the game has commenced. It is Sudan with the first kick to get us going.

47' CLOSE! Jonah Attuquaye threatens with a feeble shot at goal. He manages to threaten the goalkeeper but no worry for Sudan in the end as the effort misses the target.

50' A very good start from the two teams in the second half. End-to-end stuff.. Who gets the second goal?

52' Great cross from Augustine Agyapong finds Daniel Afriyie Barnieh but his effort goes over the bar. That should have hit the back of the Sudan net.

77' Dennis Korsah smartly picks Kofi Kordzi, he then sets Afriyie Barnieh, but the flag is already up for offside.

79' Goal!!! Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scores again to double the lead for Ghana.

82' After consulting the VAR, the referee has ruled out the goal for offside. Ghana 2-1 Sudan.

85' What a brilliant stop from Danlad Ibrahim. That was heading in.
