Chelsea Fans on Twitter Reveal Which Manchester United Player They Would Like Instead of Willian

Published on: 25 November 2016

Chelsea fans are trying to get their voice heard via social media in terms of which players they feel their squad needs, despite their flying start under Antonio Conte, and it's bad news for Willian.

The Brazilian international was the club's stand-out player in what was a horrid season for the Blues, which saw Jose Mourinho sacked before Christmas.

However Willian has struggled to make it into Conte's new-look 3-4-3 formation, and has also had the added pain of seeing his mother pass away earlier this season.

As a result, Willian is struggling to even make the substitute bench in the Premier League for Chelsea, and the Stamford Bridge faithful have twisted the knife a little bit more by suggesting who they would like to replace him - Manchester United's Anthony Martial.

The Frenchman flew onto the scene after his move to Old Trafford last season, however the spark appears to have gone, with the player being criticised for his attitude and work rate around the pitch.

Regardless, he has still caught the interest of some fans on Twitter, who believe he is the missing piece to their side, and are willing to swap Willian in return.

Rumours have also been stirred by United boss Jose Mourinho suggesting that he would be interesting in reuniting himself with the player, to whom he favoured and rated greatly during his time at the Bridge.

Willian plus 25m for Martial in summer. Jose would love him. Ivanovic free.

Jose want WIllian really? Yes please lets do a swap deal with one of Martial/Mikhitarian. He is all yours added bonus take Oscar too

Mourinho loves Willian because of his workrate but he's an awful player, imagine if we were able o take martial from them..

If you know what I mean ;o Please get Mhkitaryan or Martial in a swap! #CFC #Willian  pic.twitter.com/EaGiMkbDWR

A Martial-Willian swap would be the best transfer business ever. Can't see it happening tho

It looks unlikely to happen, but stranger things have gone on in the transfer market. Just take Mata for example...
