Chelsea Set to 'Spend Big' on Teenage Pair as Blues Look to Secure Club's Long-Term Future

Chelsea are looking to the future with their transfer business, with reports claiming that the Blues are aiming to add a new pair of teenage wonderkids to their ever-swelling youth ranks.


15-year-old Rangers youth star Billy Gilmour has been touted as the best talent to come out of Scotland in 20 years, and theMirrorreport that thewest London side arelooking to spend heavily to beat outBarcelona, Bayern Munich and both Manchester clubs to the teenager's signature.

Rangers development chief Graeme Murtysaid last week, after Gilmour played his first game for the club's Under-20s team:The tempo of his play and his release are far better than his physicality at the moment so when he matures and he becomes physically adept athlete and you manage all those attributes together he has a hell of an opportunity to progress through to the first-team."


Ajax teenagerDaishawn Redan is also said to be on the club's radar after an impressive youth career with the Dutch club, scoring hatful's of goals at various age group levels - including six in nine games for the Netherlands' Under-17 side, and 10 in 12 for the Under-16s before that.

Reports in December suggested that Redan was on the verge of a move to Manchester United after being spotted at their Carrington training complex, but no transfer ever materialised - although United are believed to still be in the hunt for the prolific 16-year-old, along with Manchester City and RB Leipzig.
