Christian Atsu in line to start for Newcastle against Everton in EPL clash tonight

Ghana winger Christian Atsu is in line to start for his English Premier League side Newcastle United in their premier league game with Everton on Wednesday evening.

Atsu is coming in due to the absence of Matt Ritchie who is suspended for the clash at Goodison Park after picking five accumulated yellow cards.

Manager Rafa Benitez must choose between Christian Atsu or Jacob Murphy for the match but it appears he will prefer the Ghanaian.

What it means is that Atsu will be making his first start for the side in this season's campaign.

Atsu has been mainly used as a second substitute since the start of the current campaign.

He replaced Matt Ritchie during the side's 3-0 defeat at home to West Ham United over the weekend.

The Ghanaian international has endured a difficult start to the new campaign after recovering from an injury during the pre-season in June with the Magpies.
