CK Akonnor's son Charles Jesaja Akonnor joins Belgian side KV Kortrijk on a three year deal

CK Akonnor's son, Charles Jesaja Akonnor has completed a move to Belgian outfit KV Kortrijk on a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old striker joined the Belgian side from German Bundesliga giants, VFL Wolfsburg where he played for 7 years.

Jesaja is a German born footballer.

“I am very happy to join KV Kortrijk. It is a new beginning for me and I look forward to helping this team do well this season and for the period I will be here," Jesaja told Omasports exclusively after signing his contract with the Belgian club.

"They have shown great belief in me and I am glad to be able to start again here after a difficult period in my career,” he added.

What is left for the transfer to go through is for both clubs KV Kortrijk to sign the agreements as well as the player getting his transfer certificate.

It is unknown if Jesaja will play for the Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars.

CK Akonnor, who also played in Germany is currently the head coach for the senior national team, the Black Stars.
