New Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah has been impressed with the performance of West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Appiah who is yet to officially begin work as Black Stars coach was at the Sogakope Park to see the academy boys take on Liberty in a match-day 13 premier league fixture.

WAFA won the game 2-1 to keep their top spot on the league table.

"I am very impressed with WAFA, this is my first time watching them, both teams played well but i think WAFA deserved the victory."

WAFA are leading the Ghana Premier League table after match-day 13 with 29 points.
