Head coach for Aduana Stars, W.O Tandoh has revealed that his team was able to beat Medeama Sporting Club (SC) on Sunday because they knew it will help them climb to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.

The Dormaa-based club hosted the Yellow and Mauves at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park yesterday and ended up cruising to a narrow one-nil defeat to ensure they amassed all 3 points.

During a post-match press conference, Aduana coach W.O Tandoh shared that the team’s desire to move to the first position on the league standings inspired them to victory.

The gaffer explained: “Going into Medeama we did not really plan any tactics. The two things that we took into this game was that if we win this game, we are on course to winning the league title.

W.O Tandoh added, “Apart from that we are course to taking the coach of the month and then the player of the month. And that was all we went into the match with. The secret is hard work and lack of complacency and we don’t listen to outside”.
