There are concerns over Kwadwo Asamoah’s fitness as Inter Milan prepare to face Cagliari on match week 2 of the 2019/2020 Italian Serie A season.

According to reports in Italy, the versatile player could miss the upcoming fixture through an injury he picked during the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 demolishing of newly-promoted side Lecce on Monday

The Black Stars midfielder is said to have felt discomfort in his thigh and is yet to be declared fit for the crucial game this weekend.

The player who was solid in Inter’s season opener is the club’s first-choice left-back and will be needed on the match day.

New manager Antonio Conte is optimistic the player will be in good condition in order to get him on the field to continue his good start to the season where he has already recorded an assist to his name.

Asamoah, 30, is being monitored closely and will undergo a fitness test before the upcoming fixture on Sunday at Sardinia.

Inter currently sits top of the Serie A standings and will be hoping to have all their arsenals firing to ensure they continue their winning ways.
