Confirmed: Dr. Tony Aubynn picks nomination forms to contest GFA presidency

Footballghana.com can report that Board chair of Medeama Sporting Club, Dr. Toni Aubynn has finally picked up his nomination forms to contest the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential seat.

The former Minerals Commission Chief Executive Officer (CEO) disclosed his intention of contesting for the top job a couple of weeks ago citing that he had been approached by some influential people in the football community.

Following the opening of nomination forms in the last 24 hours, Dr. Tony Aubynn has moved a step closer to becoming the leader of the reformed FA after picking his forms.

He picked his forms earlier today and has until Friday to gather the needed signatures before submitting to the GFA secretariat before Friday.

Dr. Tony Aubynn is facing competition from George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Fred Pappoe, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, as well as Nana Yaw Amponsah.

The election has been scheduled for October 25, 2019.
