Conte fed-up (again) with Chelsea striker options: Llorente blunder still burns

Published on: 06 October 2017

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is frustrated - again - over the lack of options he has in attack.

The Times says he has been left aggrieved after Alvaro Morata's injury exposed Chelsea's summer failings.

Morata and Michy Batshuayi are Conte's only options, but the manager was keen to bolster his frontline further in the summer window.

However, Tottenham pipped Chelsea to the signing of Fernando Llorente on deadline day.

And this has all contributed to Conte's unhappiness over his strikers.

Conte thinks Chelsea's pursuit of the ex-Swansea hitman was bungled throughout. Chelsea overruled him, though, several times due to the 32-year-old's age.
