Contract issues at Ajax keep Dutch-born Ghanaian talent Gabriel Misehouy off Dutch U-19 team

Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Gabriel Misehouy, a promising midfielder, has been left out of the Dutch U-19 team due to ongoing contract issues with his club, Ajax.

Despite his talent and potential, KNVB coach Mischa Visser was unable to include Misehouy in the recent international match squad.

Visser recently had a conversation with Misehouy, explaining the situation. "He trains, but does not play matches," Visser told ESPN. "This made it clear that we were not going to call him up and I told him that at an early stage. It's a shame, because a well-to-do Gabriel is a boy who could really help us."

Misehouy's contractual issues have prevented him from getting regular game time at Ajax, which in turn has affected his chances of being selected for the national team.

Visser expressed his disappointment at the situation, stating that he would have liked to have the talented midfielder in his squad. However, until the contract issues are resolved, Misehouy remains an unlikely candidate for the Dutch U-19 team.

Gabriel Misehouy has made 13 appearances, scored seven goals, and assisted three in the Dutch Eerste Divisie this season.
