Accra Hearts of Oak Coach, Frank Nuttal has revealed that striker Cosmos Dauda will be a major part of his plans next season, despite criticisms of the forwards form the previous campaign.

Cosmos Dauda, who joined the Phobians two seasons ago had a stellar debut campaign, where he ended the season as the clubs top scorer but dipped in form last season with Kwame Kizito getting the nod ahead of him.

Following the departure of Kwame Kizito and ex-Hearts of Lions forward Samuel Yeboah, the onus lies on the strong forward and Coach Frank Nuttalk has indicated, Dauda is a part of his plans for the upcoming season.

The former Tudu Mighty Jets attacker played a vital role for Hearts in their GHALCA G8 opener after providing the assist for the only goal of the game, headed in by the returned Isaac Mensah.

“Cosmos did very well, he has played many games recently and he takes lots of abuse from center backs which is overlooked by officials," Nuttal said after the game.

“Apart from that he has lead the line well and has got lots of power and he had three goal scoring opportunities and provided the assists for Isaac Mensah to score.

“The media might have agenda and critisize players but I would have to protect the agenda of players and certainly I have got lots of time for Cosmos and he’s very much part of my plans for next season, ” the Scotsman concluded.

Cosmos Dauda has drawn criticisms from fans and pundits at large, but looks forward to a better season ahead after his fine performance against Karela.

The big number 14 is expected to start the second game against Medeama in the GHALCA G8 on Wednesday.
