The value of Ghanaian international Joseph Aidoo has dropped from 8 million Euros to 6.5 million Euros as a result of the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, footballghana.com can report.

The defender joined Spanish La Liga club Celta Vigo from Belgian Jupiler pro League club KRC Genk for a fee of 4 million Euros in the last summer transfer window.

Due to his explosive start to the 2019/2020 season, his value doubled to 8 million Euros at the end of 2019.

Four months later, Joseph Aidoo’s value on the market has seen a decline due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Transfer market numbers has revealed that his value has dropped from 8 million Euros to 6.5 million, with a 1.5 million Euros decrease.

Meanwhile, the value of his club, Celta Vigo has also been hit. It is now valued at 146.35 million Euros instead of 181.6 million Euros. The club has seen a decrease in value of 19.4 %.

It is understood that due to the financial difficulties, Joseph Aidoo and his other Vigo teammates will suffer a pay cut shortly.
