Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho has suggested that a team meeting held before the 1-0 win over Middlesbrough back in February has been the catalyst for the Eagles' recentupturn in fortunes.

Sakho signed for Palace on-loan during the January transfer window and he currently has a 100% win ratio with his new team, having played in both of the side's recent league victories, claiming two clean sheets.

Having made his debut for Sam Allardyce's team in the home win over Middlesbrough last month, Sakho featured once again in the Eagles' crucial 2-0 win over West Brom on Saturday as Palace moved themselves three points clear of the relegation zone.

With both form and confidence appearing to be back amongst the players, Sakho has revealed, as reported bytheStar, that a 'positive' meeting held before the back-to-back league wins seems to have paid off and inspired the team's recent good form.

The Frenchmansaid:We had a really good break before last week's game and we spoke together,

We had a very nice meeting, a really positive meeting, and we can see on the pitch the squad are really different.

I can't say what we talked about but it was positive for everybody and now we can see the positive way.

The most important is to see the football the same way - all the squad and it is not only 11 players, it is 20, 25, 30 players.

Now the team have more confidence, play better and also the manager gave a really good speech.
