Crystal Palace manager, Roy Hodgson is confident Jordan Ayew could soon find his scoring boots despite going blank in the ongoing season.
The 28-year-old is yet to find the back of the net since joining the club on a long season from Swansea City in the summer.
The manager said Jordan and other attackers were through intense training and was certain it wouldn't be long when they start finding the back of the net.
"At the moment, we have a number of attacking players, and [Christian] Benteke is not too far away. [Jordan] Ayew, [Alexander] Sorloth and [Connor] Wickham are all training every day and trying to get into the team," he told football.london.
"I am pretty confident at the moment that, given the way that we play, and the way we have played up to now, that the goals will come anyway."
Hodgson said the cure to the team’s goal scoring problem was not in the transfer window because bringing new attackers in January might not suddenly solve their goalscoring problems.
"And I certainly don't believe there is a magic solution out there that no one else has ever thought of or considered, or been able to buy, to come in here double our goal scoring tally, because he has still got to play in our team."
He rather said anyone thinking that way might not have a full appreciation of the problems in the team because a good attacker can not suddenly transform a team that finds it difficult to score.
"I'm afraid it is a very naive way of thinking. The fact is there aren't many January transfers where you bring in players who transform a team that has been struggling to score goals," he is quoted by football.london as saying.
