Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is set to hand his club a boost by declaring himself fit to play against Chelsea in the Premier League this Saturday.

The Eagles are currently rooted to the bottom of the Premier League standings after losing all several of their Premier League games thus far and failing to score a goal in the process.

Zaha meanwhile has not played since the opening day of the season after sustaining a knee injury. He is however pushing to make a comeback this weekend. The 24-year-old has resumed full training and expects to be back in the squad for Saturday's game.

It remains to be seen whether manager Roy Hodgson will opt to start him in next weekend's game against Newcastle United or allow the player to gradually return to full fitness.

The former Manchester United player Zaha is an important player for Palace and his performances will be a crucial factor in determining whether Palace can turnaround their current situation.
