Dan Quaye tips Hearts of Oak to beat Asante Kotoko

Former Hearts of Oak defender Dan Quaye has backed the Phobians to beat Asante Kotoko in the upcoming Super Clash.

The two most glamourous clubs in the country will lock horns at the Baba Yara Stadium in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League campaign.

However, both teams have been struggling with form, with the Porcupine Warriors recently losing to Berekum Chelsea whiles Hearts of Oak succumbed to a narrow defeat to Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“Ghana football is in tartars. Prior to a super clash like this some years ago, you will feel the euphoria in town. Taxi drivers will use either Hearts of Oak or Kotoko flags or stickers on their cars which will indicate to even a foreigner that there’s a big game coming on”

“The performance of the two clubs has dwindled this season. But in a super clash there’s no form guide. Anyone can win despite being in a poor form”

“One key thing about the super clash is there’s always pressure on the home team which makes it easier for the away side. I’m 100% sure that Hearts of Oak will win on Sunday by hook or crook” he said.

Ahead of the game, Asante Kotoko find themselves in 10th position with 40 points whiles Hearts of Oak sit 12th with 38 points after 30 matches.

The Super Clash between Kotoko and Hearts of Oak is widely regarded as the biggest game in Ghanaian football, drawing passionate support from both sides.
