Daniel Amartey advised to leave Leicester City this summer

Former Ghanaian goalkeeper, Richard ‘Olele’ Kingson has urged Daniel Amartey to seek a move away from Leicester City when the summer transfer window comes around.

The Foxes defender has struggled for playing time in the 2019/2020 football season. Prior to the start of the campaign, he was injured and missed the entire first half.

Though he recovered for the second half, he was not given opportunities by new manager Brendan Rogers.

Now back on the injury bed, it is unlikely he will see any action before the English Premier League season ends.

Speaking to Joy FM on the situation of Daniel Amartey, ex-Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingson has advised his compatriot to leave Leicester City at the end of the season.

“It is a good time [for Daniel Amartey] to move. He has to get playing time and brand his career again”, Olele said.

He continued, "If there is a chance for him to play there, he can stay but in this situation, he has to move.

"If it is not in England or anywhere in Europe, he can go to a good team and play there for one year or two years”.

Though it is understood a couple of English clubs are interested in signing Daniel Amartey, checks have revealed his likely destination is a return to his former club  FC Copenhagen.
