Coutinho sparkled on international duty as well this week, starring for Brazil as they demolished South American arch-rivals Argentina. He scored a goal even more spectacular than Sturridge's delightful header for England.

The midfielder's skills have not gone amiss in training either, where Sturridge has been so impressed by his teammate's wizardry.

The 24-year-old has been at the height of his powers so far in this campaign, possibly as a result of the signing of Sadio Mané and the full implementation of Jurgen Klopp's pacy attacking methods whichbecame possible as a result.

Liverpool have never won the Premier League title, and they last won the league before the current era twenty-six years ago. However, the success of their current attacking mentality with the likes of Coutinho, Mané and Roberto Firmino thriving has the Kop faithful more excited than ever that glory might be returning to Anfield.

Coutinho, the centrepiece of Liverpool's attacking fluidity, is vital to maintain the Reds' challenge. However, recent rumours have persistentlylinked the Brazilian to a move to Spain to join Barcelona, with a swoop in January possible. That elusive Premier League title win could hinge on Liverpool resisting the sale.
