MLS club Chicago Fire has confirmed that speedster David Accam a late call-up to take part in Ghana’s upcoming 2018 World Cup Qualifying match against Egypt on Sunday, November 13 in Alexandria.
The 2016 Fire MVP and Golden Boot winner will join the Black Stars for a training camp in Dubai before traveling to Alexandria for the qualifier.
Ghana has been drawn into Group E with Congo, Egypt and Uganda.
Accam was surprisingly left-out of Avram Grant's squad for the game, it is unclear who he will replace in the team or whether he will be an addition.
Accam is expected to dash to Dubai to join his teammates in preparation for the game.
The in-form player scored nine goals in 21 appearances for the Chicago-based club.
David Accam has been capped five times Ghana and has scored a goal.
