Defender Andrews Appau prays Bofoakwa Tano avoid relegation and win Ghana FA Cup title

Bofoakwa Tano defender, Andrews Kwadwo Appau is praying his outfit will escape relegation at the end of the Ghana Premier League campaign and also annex the FA Cup title.

The Sunyani-based club are currently in the relegation drop with four games to end the Ghanaian top-flight. With 33 points, Bofoakwa Tano find themselves in 17th position.

Despite their uninspiring performance in the league campaign, Bofoakwa Tano have managed to reach the finals of the FA Cup title for the first time in 38 years.

Bofoakwa Tano will face Nsoatreman FC in the Bono derby final at the University of Ghana Stadium in June.

Speaking in an interview, the former Asante Kotoko defender said he is hoping Bofoakwa Tano will escape the drop and also win the FA Cup title.

“We pray we escape relegation and win the FA Cup title. We are preparing very well to secure the necessary points to ensure our stay in the league. Truth be told, we are very determined to avoid relegation. We have four games to end the season, we want to win all points in those games to escape relegation” he said.

Bofoakwa Tano will welcome Medeama to the Sunyani Coronation Park in matchady 30 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Andrews Appau made a return to Bofoakwa Tano before the start of the 2023/24 season after leaving Asante Kotoko.

The 22-year-old has made 17 appearances in the ongoing campaign for Bofoakwa Tano, who are battling relegation.
