Diego Simeone wants a job in the Premier League so that he can battle it out with the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp.

The Atletico Madrid manager, who has won La Liga and reached two Champions League finals in three years at the Spanish club, is under contract until 2018, at which point he is likely to make the switch to England.

A report inthe Mirrorsuggests that, while the Premier League is Simeone's chosen destination upon the expiry of his contract, he may even be tempted by a move sooner than 2018 if a suitable opportunity were to arise.

The Argentine has established himself as one of the most talented managers in world football after raising Atletico Madrid to the lofty heights of competing with super clubs Barcelona andReal Madrid for the Spanish title.

After also achieving remarkable feats in Europe, Simeone ultimately fell at the final hurdle twice to Real Madrid. This sparked frustrationfrom the Argentine that he could not compete financially with his Madrid rivals.

The former Atletico player since rejected an offer to extend his contract, meaning that he could make the switch to a Premier League club with the financial power that he seeks in just over 18 months.

He also revels in competition, and the Premier League is certainly rife with managerial head-to-heads at the top level.

With the likes of Mourinho, Guardiola and Klopp all plying their trade in England, Simeone may be attracted by the prospect of going toe to toe with these managerial heavyweights.
