Liverpool have clinched the commitment of Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke.

The Daily Star says Solanke, 19, has let his contract run out at Stamford Bridge and the Reds have won the race to land the talented forward.

The Reading-born player has chased by a number of top Premier League clubs as well as Scottish champions Celtic and German side Red Bull Leipzig.

Liverpool will still have to pay a fee for the English starlet because he is under 24 and has come through Chelsea's academy.

That will be set by a tribunal and it is believed it will be in the region of £3m.

It is understood that his wages at Liverpool will be less than £20,000-a-week.
