President of AshantiGold SC, Dr Kwaku Frimpong has taken a swipe at the Ghana League Club Association [GHALCA] chairman, Kudjoe Fianoo, accusing him of sabotage.
The Miners have been poor in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Ashgold suffered a 4-1 defeat to Eleven Wonders at the Len Clay Stadium in the matchday 18 games over the weekend.
Dr Frimpong accused Mr Fianoo of tarnishing the name of the club he once managed, insisting the GHALCA chairman plunged the Miners into difficulty during his reign as Chairman of the Miners.
“Fianoo can meet me boot to boot. He has contracted media houses to tarnish the image of Ashgold. We know everything,” Dr Frimpong told Kumasi based Oyerepa FM.
“I am daring him to stop that nonsense. He failed when he was handed his same team. If they stop their nonsense acts, the problems will cease,” he concluded.
Ashgold is also under investigation for match-fixing and betting claims following their 6-0 win over relegated Inter Allies last season.
The Miners sit 12th on the league with 22 points and will play Karela United at the CAM Park in the matchday 19 games on Sunday.
