The Dawu based club lost 1-0 to WAFA SC on Wednesday afternoon in a week 25 fixture at Sogakope despite a spirited performance from the players.

Dreams FC dropped to sixth place on the league table after the setback in midweek. But the former Black Stars player is only relishing a top four finish at the end of the season but expects a resounding victory on Sunday.

Dreams FC has gone three games without a win and looks desperate to bounce back to winning ways against the Brong Ahafo based side having suffered a 1-0 loss in the reverse fixture at Techiman.

“A win in our next match is important,” Akonnor told the official club website.

“Because we’ve dropped so many points in the last three matches and it’s not good enough.”

“We have to improve; we have to react quickly else it will be bad for us.” The former Ghana international went on to say.” Akonnor added.
