Stoke must sell either Xherdan Shaqiri or Marko Arnautovic if Ramadan Sobhi is to develop, according to Mido.
Last season, the Egyptian had to wait for either Shaqiri or Arnautovic to be injured to get a spot in Mark Hughes' starting XI.
Despite limited time, the 20-year old showed real flashes of talent, and former Tottenham striker Mido believes it's time to let the youngster flourish.
"I think it's been a great debut season for Ramadan," said Mido.
"I think that Mark Hughes gave him enough minutes to learn and to express himself and played him at the right times.
"He will be much better next season, but Stoke need to find him enough room to be a regular player because he proved that he can be a regular.
"One of Shaqiri or Arnautovic has to leave for Ramadan to progress."
