Ex-Elmina Sharks defender Enock Abakrow announced retirement at age 24

Former Elmina Sharks defender Enock Abakrow has today announced that he is resigning from football at age 24.

The center-back was with the Ghana Premier League club in his early years as a professional player but was released 3 years ago.

Having been without a club for the last 3 years, he failed to land a transfer to any other club.

In a post on Facebook today, Enock Abakrow has announced that he is sadly hanging his boots from the sport.

"Difficult decision but let me use this to thank you all for your support giving me on the field, now I have to make it official that I have quit football at age 24”, the defender said in his post.

He added, “Big sorry to my fans and the football fraternity God time is the best."

Enock Abakrow will be remembered for his time with Tarkwa United as well as Eleven Wise.
