Former Ghana U-20 midfielder Karimu Mahamud has completed his transfer to Latvian top-flight club FK Metta.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined Metta on a free transfer from UAE side Al-Taawon and has already made a few appearances for the club in the new season.

Mahamud is expected to bring his experience and skills to the midfield of Metta, who is currently sitting in 8th place on the 2024 Latvian Virsliga table with 7 points after seven games.

The club plays its home games at the Daugava Stadium and will welcome second-placed Riga in their next league game. The Green and White is affiliated with Latvijas Universitāte. Metta is managed by Latvian coach Andris Riherts.

Metta's management team is confident that Mahamud's addition will strengthen the squad and help the club achieve its goals for the season.

The young midfielder is excited about the move and is looking forward to contributing to the team's success.
