Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako is not impressed with the performance of the club in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The defending champions has not been consistent this season, winning 11, drawing 9 and losing 7 after 27 matches.

In an interview with Footballghana.com, Amoako, who is currently the goalkeepers coach of fellow GPL club Nsoatreman FC expressed displeasure about the performance of Kotoko.

“Kotoko is my former team so I do monitor their progress but if you look at their performance this season, you will rate them like any middle team in the Ghana Premier League”

“Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are always tipped to be at the top but looking at their performance this season especially, Kotoko, it is not encouraging. Kotoko’s performance have been on and off and I think this season has not been good for them” he said.

Asante Kotoko will take on Great Olympics at the WAFA Park in Sogakope in the week 28 fixture on Thursday.
