The Moreirense squad started work today for the 2021/22 season, carrying out the traditional medical exams, in the presence of the only official reinforcement and the new coach of the I League football club.

A group of 18 players played the first of several days dedicated to the traditional clinical evaluation after the holidays, at Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas Stadium.

Fonte do Moreirense confirmed to Lusa the presence of midfielder Ruben Ramos and Ghanaian striker Malik Abubakari, who evolved in 2020/21 on loan at Mafra and Casa Pia, both in the II League, respectively, as well as Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Iddriss, from Uniao de Leiria, then in the Portuguese Championship.

Striker Abubakari scored 11 goals in 33 games across all competitions. His compatriot midfielder Iddriss didn't enjoy his stay at Uniao de Leiria as he was limited to just four matches and assisted one goal.

The 'canons' will start training on Monday afternoon, at the Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas Stadium, coinciding with the presentation of the squad to the media, at a stage in which they have defined the traditional stage in Ofir, from 12 to 18 July.
