EXCLUSIVE: Marseille drop interest to sign Kwadwo Asamoah due to player’s high price

Olympic Marseille has abandoned their pursuit to sign Kwadwo Asamoah as a result of the player’s high price, footballghana.com exclusively report.

The midfielder who can play as a defender is currently contracted with Italian Serie A side Inter Milan.

Though his first year with the club after joining in 2018 went well, the past year has been difficult for the Black Stars asset who has suffered several injury setbacks.

With Inter Milan ready to offload Kwadwo Asamoah this summer, he has in the past week been in talks with Olympic Marseille over a potential transfer.

Unfortunately, sources say the negotiations have been ended with the French Ligue 1 side losing interest as a result of the high demands of the player.

Reports in Italy suggest that the player is being priced at 3 million Euros by Inter Milan, a figure Marseille is not willing to pay because their budget only allows them to spend lower.

Kwadwo Asamoah, 31, is currently valued at €6.50 million by transfermarkt and is likely to leave Inter Milan before the transfer window shuts.
