Experienced Ghanaian coach Yussif Basigi is optimistic about the Black Queen chances ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The Ghana Women’s national team sealed qualification to the WAFCON tournament after edging out Namibia 3-2 on aggregate. The team returns to the continental showpiece after missing out in 2022.

Speaking in an interview, Basigi, who is the head of the Black Princesses asserted the Black Queens can annex the Women’s Cup of Nations title.

“From what l saw against Namibia despite we losing in the second leg by a 1-0 away from home, l think Queens can win the 2024 WAFCON; it is still early days but it is possible,” he added.

The 2024 WAFCON has been scheduled to take place in Morocco next year.
