Fatawu Dauda lifts lid on relationship with Adam Kwarasey

Legon Cities shot-stopper Fatawu Dauda has revealed that he has a cordial relationship with Adam Kwarasey despite reports that he is not in good terms with former Vålerenga ace.

Kwarasey was Ghana’s first choice going into the 2014 FIFA World Cup and even kept the post in Black Stars’ 2-1 defeat to USA in their Group opener. However, two calamitous mistakes in that game led to Kwarasey losing his place to Fatau Dauda.

Since then, the experienced goalkeeper never kept the post for Ghana and was subsequently omitted from Black Star's call-ups.

According to Dauda, he has a good relationship with Adam and never had any issues despite reports of using Black magic.

"I have nothing against Adam Kwarasey. We are good friends and we have never had issues. It is so surprising to sometimes hear that I had issues with him during the Brazil World Cup," he said as quoted by footballmadeinghana.com.

Dauda kept the post for the Black Stars against Germany and Portugal after having warmed the bench in the opening match against the USA.

He has made 24 appearances for the senior national team of Ghana and has also represented them at the 2008, 2013, and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
