FC Groningen Technical Director Mark-Jan Fledderus delighted with Patrick Joosten signing

FC Groningen Technical Director Mark-Jan Fledderus is elated with the signing of Ghanaian forward Patrick Joosten In the on-going transfer window.

The 24-year old penned a three-year deal with the club from FC Utrecht after successful negotiations.

Joosten scored three goals in 15 appearances for Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivise on loan last season.

“Patrick is fast, can create something, and score a goal. Exactly what we can use to complement our existing selection,” said Fledderus cited by SportsworldGhana.com.

“In addition, Patrick already has the necessary experience in professional football and that is a nice aspect with regard to the young group that we have.”

“In view of the young group we have, that’s a nice aspect. We also think that Patrick can develop further and we are going to work on that together,” he added.

The forward was born in Nijmegen to a Dutch father and a Ghanaian mother and still eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
