Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu has through a post on social media expressed his surprise to the exclusion of African stars, Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah from FIFA FIFPRO Men's Team of the Year.

The Liverpool FC duo impressed throughout the 2018/2019 season where they helped the English Premier League side to win the Uefa Champions League.

In addition to that, both players shared the Golden boot award in the EPL together with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang with 22 goals each.

At the FIFA awards ceremony in Milan on Monday, September 23, 2019, Salah and Mane both missed out on making the team of the year to the amazement of many.
