The South Africa Football Association (SAFA) on Monday filed a complaint to FIFA seeking that the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers between the Bafana Bafana and the Black Stars should be replayed.

In a letter from FIFA acknowledging receipt of the protest, it says the matter will be referred to its Disciplinary Committee on November 23, 2021, for consideration.

“Furthermore, we wish to inform the South African Football Association as well as the Ghana Football Association that the above-mentioned protest will be submitted to a member of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on 23 November 2021 for consideration and decision in accordance with art. 14 (9) of the Regulations FIFA World Cup 2022M, Preliminary Competition as well as arts. 46 and 54 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FD),” part of the FIFA letter has said.

Meanwhile, FIFA has given the Ghana FA the chance to respond to the protest before it sits on the case.
