Football gave me everything I own today – Asamoah Gyan

Ghana football legend, Asamoah Gyan has attributed his wealth to the game of football.

The 37-year-old is known to be one of the few richest players in the country.

The soft-spoken striker owns several businesses which have employed thousands of Ghanaians in various capacities.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, the former Liberty Professionals striker admitted that football gave him everything he wanted in life.

“Looking back on my back in career and what I have been able to achieve, I give thanks to God because I achieved everything through football,” he added.

Gyan was a member of the Black Stars squad that played in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups in Germany, South Africa and Brazil respectively.

He remains the country’s all-time leading goal scorer with 51 goals.

Gyan played for the likes of Stade Rennes, Udinese Calcio, Sunderland, Al Ain, and Kayserispor, among other clubs.
