Former Chelsea star Oscar banned eight games in China

Former Chelsea star Oscar has been banned for eight games with Shanghai SIPG after this week's all-in brawl.

The midfielder made headlines at the weekend when he was caught up in a mass brawl during Shanghai SIPG's 1-1 draw with Guangzhou R&F.

The Brazilian kicked the ball aggressively at two opponents that sparked a frenzy between both sets of players.

Oscar escaped with a yellow card, with R&F's Li Tixiang and SIPG's Fu Huan eventually sent off.

His ban now sees him unable to play in the Chinese Super League until August 13.

The 25-year-old has also been ordered to pay a fine of $5,000.
